Overview
openclaw-cli is an open-source watchdog daemon that keeps your OpenClaw AI gateway running. It includes an optional Remote Monitor feature that lets you monitor your gateway status from a web dashboard. Remote Monitor is strictly opt-in — no data is ever sent unless you explicitly enable it.
What We Collect (Remote Monitor only)
When you opt in to Remote Monitor, the following data is reported periodically:
- Machine hostname
- Operating system and CPU architecture
- openclaw-cli version
- Gateway health status (healthy/unhealthy, response time)
- Connected channel types (e.g., "feishu", "telegram" — no message content, no credentials)
- Timestamp of each report
What We Do NOT Collect
- Chat messages or conversation content
- API keys or credentials
- Agent configurations or prompts
- Browser history or any data unrelated to gateway health
How Data Is Stored
- Stored in Cloudflare KV (US region)
- Linked to your Firebase account (Google Sign-In)
- Each report overwrites the previous one — no long-term history is retained by default
- Free tier: up to 1 hour of history retained
Your Control
- Opt-in only: run
openclaw-cli remote enableto start reporting - Disable anytime: run
openclaw-cli remote disable - All data is deleted when you unregister your machine
- If you never run
remote enable, no data is ever collected
Third-Party Services
openclaw-cli relies on the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication via Google Sign-In. Firebase Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare — site hosting and data storage. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
